Dear Parents/Carers,

Thoresby Class have recapped their knowledge of time. We discussed how many days are in a week, weeks in a year and months in a year. The children have worked hard to work out how many seconds there will be within a given amount of time and have used their multiplication skills to support finding out the answers. In English, we have been consolidating our learning of grammar. We have been learning and applying our skills of past and present perfect tense. 

Homework

For your homework this week, please can the children complete the reading comprehension worksheet. 

Homework is due in on Wednesday 26th June 2024. 

Reading

Please continue to encourage your child to read at least three times a week and record it in your child's diary. Each week your child will get sticker on their bookmark if they have read three times. 

Please can your child bring their reading book and reading diary to school everyday. Reading books will continue to be changed on a Friday.

Spellings

This weeks spellings: incorrect, illegible, subject, international, believe, preparation, coronation, wildly, bravely, thoughtfully

Times Table Test

On a Friday, Thoresby Class will be having a times table test. For this week, please can your child continue to practise all of the times tables ready for their test on Friday 28th June. Please try and encourage your child to use Times Tables Rockstar to practice their times tables.
