Have a look at the message below from Mrs Green and the photographs of her brilliant creation.
Hello St. Luke’s,
I hope that you are all keeping well and getting on well with your school work during these very unusual times that we are in.
St. Luke’s is holding a Clever Crafts Competition titled ‘The World Around Us’. Mrs Dunn has kindly extended the closing date to the 10th July to give me time to get my resources together to create my own entry and to give all of you an extra week to create something fabulous (which I know you will do). Remember, you will gain a certificate and have a chance of winning a prize if you send in an entry.
You need to submit a photograph or a picture of your creation to enter. This may be interpreted as the physical environment around you, what is important to you in the world, a reflection of some of the things happening around the world during this time or be about your home and family. The choice is yours. You can build, bake, model, sew or paint – the list of ways to be creative is endless.
My creation is my garden. I chose to do this because, as you all know, during these times we haven’t been able to really go anywhere so I have spent a lot of time in my garden with my dog. It has been really important to me to be able to go outside and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful sunshine we have had. I have made my garden in an old shoe box and used lots of different textures to try and create a 3D effect.
I’m not the most artistic person but I have tried my very best. I would like to challenge all of you to create your entries as I know you will all be able to do far better than me. So come on St. Luke’s, let’s get creative and blow Mrs Dunn away with your fantastic entries. Remember the deadline has been extended by a week so you’ve got lots of time to create something amazing.
Send your entries to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 10th July
Good luck everyone, I know you are going to create something fabulous!
