For our first lesson we discussed how to keep safe in the home. We learnt more about hazards in different areas in the house, including fire, water and electricity. We had to identify the hazards in a range of places and suggest how to keep safe before creating our own rules for keeping safe in the home. Finally, we went outside and completed a hazard hunt of our playground!

This week, we focused on road and rail safety, thinking about how we can keep ourselves safe and also what to do in an emergency. We focused on a range of different scenarios and discussed consequences and outcomes. We learnt about level crossings and the stop, look and listen idea. A super lesson with lots of learning! 

For our third lesson, we learnt more about water safety and how we keep ourselves safe around canals and other areas of open water. We discussed who to contact if we found ourselves in trouble around water and also what to do if we ended up in the water. We thought carefully about our responsibilities and how we could look after ourselves.
