Here we go again! We are hoping for another 10 successful hatches this year :)

Looking at the eggs on day 1 and studying the information poster to learn more about the process!

Day 3 - 6 eggs have now hatched! We will have to wait until tomorrow to identify if they are boys or girls. We can tell this by their colour once they have incubated for 24 hours. We will be moving some of the chicks over into the breeder box in the morning :)

Day 5 - we finally got to hold the chicks! We have 9 successfully hatched eggs and they have now been moved to the breeder box. We have 5 girls and 4 boys :)

Week 2 - we have been working all week to look after our chicks, cleaning their breeder box out each day and replacing the food and water. We have loved this experience yet again and have learnt so much about chicks and the process of hatching as well as responsibility.
