Dear Parents/Carers,

Thoresby have had a busy but exciting week! The children have consolidated their learning based on measuring the perimeter of rectilinear and polygon shapes. We discussed what they are and how we can measure the perimeter. The children have completed their gold writes based on an advert to persuade people to book a holiday. In addition to this, Thoresby Class have loved doing applique based on the Mayan patterns. Well done! 

Homework

For your homework this week, I would like you to complete the multiplication and division questions. 

Homework is due in on Wednesday 21st February. 

Reading

Please continue to encourage your child to read at least three times a week and record it in your child's diary. Each week your child will get sticker on their bookmark if they have read three times. 

Please can your child bring their reading book and reading diary to school everyday. Reading books will continue to be changed on a Friday.

Spellings

This weeks spellings: automatic, astronaut, cause, author, applaud, audience, August, launch, haul and autumn

Times Table Test

On a Friday, Thoresby Class will be having a times table test. For this week, please can your child continue to practise the 4 and 6 times table ready for their test on Friday 23rd February. Please try and encourage your child to use Times Tables Rockstar to practice their times tables.
