Dear Parents/Carers,

Thoresby Class have worked extremely hard practising their multiplication sums up to 12 in preparation for the Multiplication Check which is going to happen on Wednesday 5th June. If you have anything you would like to discuss prior to the Multiplication Check then please do not hesitate to contact me and I would be happy to discuss this further. 

In English, we have been using powerful and ambitious vocabulary to describe a setting of a haunted house/stormy Stonehenge. We have discussed the features, identified them and now we have been working incredibly hard to replicate them - well done!

Homework

For your homework this week, I have uploaded times table games and Multiplication Check to Purple Mash for you to continue to practise your multiplication during half term. 

Homework is due in on Wednesday 5th June 2024. 

Reading

Please continue to encourage your child to read at least three times a week and record it in your child's diary. Each week your child will get sticker on their bookmark if they have read three times. 

Please can your child bring their reading book and reading diary to school everyday. Reading books will continue to be changed on a Friday.

Times Table Test

On a Friday, Thoresby Class will be having a times table test. For this week, please can your child continue to practise all of the times tables ready for their test on Friday 7th June. Please try and encourage your child to use Times Tables Rockstar to practice their times tables.
