Reading at St. Lukes

At St. Lukes, we value our libraries. We all have a class library as well as year group fiction libraries and reference libraries. 

The children are involved in the selection of books for their class libraries and help to make recommendations for what they would like to be displayed on the shelves for their friends to try. 

All the children are able to borrow books from our libraries of fiction books around school. The school librarians from each class enjoy helping to organise these areas, making sure there is a good selection for the other children to choose from.  

We have a good selection of reference books that the children can borrow, or use to help them in their lessons. We love using books to help us learn.

We also enjoy borrowing books from the Library Service. We enjoy having these books delivered to add to our class libraries each half term.
