Today we collected some natural materials and made sticky pictures!
Shield Project
We have been spending time designing and creating our own shields! We learnt about what shields were used for during battles and how they were made to protect people. We talked about how they looked and the different crests that were on them. We then worked in groups to think about what materials we would need in order to create our own shields and we designed how they would look, taking into account all group ideas and coming to a group decision. We then made our shields! We used a variety of materials such as paint, tissue paper, felt, card, buttons, pom poms and cardboard to make our designs a reality. Finally, we evaluated our project and thought carefully about what we liked about our shields and how we could improve on them next time. We thought about whether there was anything that went wrong or we had to change throughout the design process and we ended up with some super creations!
