From Seed to Spoon
Before the summer holidays we planted a variety of fruit and vegetable seeds in our outdoor learning environment. As it is now Autumn we decided the time was right to do our own harvesting.
Using the 'fruits' of our harvest we created a wonderfully tasty soup recipe which was enjoyed by all.
We had to do lots of jobs in order to create our tasty treat. After picking, cleaning and chopping we made a vegetable stock to add to the pan. Once the soup had boiled and simmered we used a hand blender to make the mix smooth and delicious.
We can't wait to get growing again in order to create some more lovely dishes to enjoy together.
