Dear Welbeck children, parents and carers,

This week I have continued to be impressed with the hard work that the children have shown during their learning and have seen some excellent work produced. We have been lucky to spend an afternoon with Sunita learning some traditional dances and the culture in India. Photos will be uploaded soon for you to look at.

Children, your homework tasks are as follows:

Homework Task 1- Mrs Cushing has asked for you to record how much time you spend using technology each evening for a week. This information will link into your next computing lesson.

Homework Task 2- This week we have learnt about the build up to the start of World War Two and why Britain declared war on Germany. We listened to a radio recording of Neville Chamberlain and spoke about countries that formed an alliance. For your homework, I would like you create either a newspaper article reporting the outbreak of war, or record yourself as a news reporter reporting on the outbreak of war.

Remember to email your homework to welbeck@st-lukes.notts.sch.uk by 4pm on Wednesday 6th October.

I am looking forward to seeing the work that you have created.

As always, please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Tomlinson
