Morning Task

Please have a go at todays arithmetic task. You may take as long as you need on the questions.

Maths

Today in maths, we will be continuing with the division method we learnt yesterday: Chunking.

I have modelled this method for the children. Please re-watch my teaching video to remind you of the method.

Once you have watched the video, please have a go at the worksheet using this method and then the reasoning questions. There are two worksheets you can choose from.

Worksheet: 2 digits divide by 1 digit

Challenge: 3 digits divide by 1 digit

English

Today, we are going to be learning about a type of poem called a Kenning. A kenning describes an animal, place or object. It doesn’t tell you what animal, place or object it is.

To write a kenning, you use a noun-verb phrase. Please watch the video which explains how to write a kenning.

After, use the resources to help you write your own kenning about the Rainforst animal you researched yesterday. There is a PowerPoint, word mat and worksheet to help you.

I can’t wait to read your poems!

Computing

For computing, we will be completing our last touch-typing lesson. Today, we are going to practice typing with our right hand.

For todays tasks, they will need to be completed on Purple Mash. If you have forgotten your login, please email me and I will resend it to you. Please have a go at the different activities on Purple Mash. There are quite a few activities but they only take 2 minutes each.
