We have started thinking about the different jobs that people in the community can do and shared what we would like to do as a job when we are older. There was a wide range of careers and we talked about how these are important within a community. We then discussed what people in our family did as their job and the qualities that they would need in order to be successful.
This lesson, we developed our learning of jobs within the community by focusing on those who help us. Can you remember some of the jobs that people do in order to help in the community? We thought about the qualities that these people would need to have in order to be successful in their jobs and also the different ways each profession helped. We talked about how doctors give medicine to help others and how police officers keep people safe. Tell your grown-up which profession you chose and why!
