Hello Welbeck Class, Parents and Carers, 

I hope you are all well. Next week is SATs week- we have briefly spoken about the assessments this week and the children asked any questions that they had. It is important for the children to try and not feel worried or nervous- I understand with assessments that this can sometimes be the case but it is important for the children to remember that they have previously completed old SATs papers this school year and have previously spoken about how the papers were not as bad as they thought. 

The assessments will take place every morning from Monday to Thursday. It is important that the children are having a restful nights sleep and a good breakfast throughout the week and are at school on time. 

I have every faith in the children and I know they will all try their best- which is all that matters.

On Friday, we have a photographer coming into school to take a class picture as they will be running an article on Worksop year 6 leavers. Please ensure that your child is in the correct school uniform on the day. I will continue to keep you updated on the publication of the picture. 

Finally, on Tuesday 17th May we have a staff member from Portland coming into school to talk with the children who will be starting there in September. This is an opportunity for the children to ask any questions that they have about next year. If you have any questions- please pass these on to your child and we can make sure they are asked.
