Phonics focus of the day - 20th April, 2020 -

The 'OO' sound (as in zoo) The long vowel sound.

  • Can you say this sound?
  • Can you make a list of words with this sound in them?

We need to spot this sound carefully and look closely to see if it is the short or the long vowel sound from yesterday.

Today I would like you to look back and recap all the sounds from this week. 

We have had:

'OO' (long vowel sound) - zoo, moon

'ar' sound - park, card

'or' sound - fort, cork
