What Goes Up Must Come Down

On Friday we tested this theory with some sporting challenges.  The children used a selection of sports equipment to measure the distances travelled from 'launch to land'.

We thought about the factors that could affect this activity including wind, strength and weight.

The children also selected the best choice of measuring equipment for each challenge.

Our evaluation work showed that the javelin travelled the furthest due to it's light weight material and wind direction. However, the long jump gave the shortest distance travelled. Do you know why?
