The homework task for this week is to research and then create a poster about World War Two. This is our new topic for this half term and it would be great for you to develop your understanding as there is so much to learn! You could choose to focus on the start of the war, how it ended or what happened in between - or a mixture of all three! The poster can be presented on paper or on the computer and then emailed to the Thoresby email address. 

I hope you enjoy learning more about this fascinating topic and next week you will be able to share interesting facts you have found out with the rest of the class. 

Homework is due in by Wednesday 12th January please. 

We have also spent some time on TTR this week and the children enjoyed completing questions and earning coins. It is so important that children practise on this at home as it will be really beneficial for them when it comes to the test, which will take place in the Spring Term. Children are challenging themselves to improve their accuracy and time - they need to complete the questions in under 6 seconds on Studio mode. The system then moves them up the different rock star statuses and we have one child in the class who has become the highest ranking in the school!
