Mental Health Week- 7th- 11th February 2022

As part of our mental health day we took part in some imaginative drawing. All children were given the same line and had to create a drawing based on what they thought the line could turn into. The children drew lots of different things including an octopus, snake, sleigh and a range of animals. We then spoke about how everyone has a different imagination just like everyone has different thoughts and feelings.

We then looked at photographs taken of us when we were younger. We started to think about how we had grown since we started school and then spoke about the people who help us grow.

Finally we took part in some gardening. We spent a good proportion of the afternoon outside tidying our eco-garden and getting the planters ready for us to plant our onions and garlic. We have also started to plant some apple seeds. The children were fantastic at taking care of the eco-garden and are extremely enthusiastic to plant more after half term.
