Dear Parents/Carers,

Well done Clumber Class, we have had a brilliant half term! I am very impressed with the children's attitude to learning in school and outside of school. Keep up the great work Clumber Class!

Homework

For your homework this week, I would like you to choose a story. This could be a book you have at home or a school reading book and read it together with an adult. 

Afterwards, choose someone else you know to go and retell this story to. This could be a friend, another family member or a sibling. 

Please could you then write a short summary of the story you have read

Reading

Please continue to encourage your child to read at least three times a week and record it in your child's diary. Each week your child will get sticker on their bookmark if they have read three times. 

Please can your child bring their reading book and reading diary to school everyday. Reading books will continue to be changed on a Friday.

Times Table Test

On a Friday, Clumber Class will be having a times table test. For this week, please can your child practice the 8 times table ready for their test on Friday 25th February. Please try and encourage your child to use Times Tables Rockstar to practice their times tables.
