Dissolving
As part of our work on materials we looked at different types of powder and how they react with water.
We sorted the materials according to the colour of the water and if we could still see any solid power left in the water.
To keep the test fair we made sure we measured the same amount of powder in each cup and stirred the power the same amount of times.
Different groups had slightly different results. We hypothesised that because some groups had chosen different measurements and number of stirs that this may have caused the differences.
We thought about more questions we could ask such as how the temperature of the water would change the results.
