In GPS today we are going to have a quick recap of spelling contractions.
Remember, contractions are two words shortened together with an apostrophe.
eg: do not = don't
We place the apostrophe where the letters have been taken away.

In English today we will be continuing to work on the features we need for a character description.
We are going to look at how we use similes and metaphors.

Once you are confident, have a look at the pictures of the different Tudor characters. If you want, you can imagine they are a character from our book. Choose one or two of the pictures and describe the people using as many similes and metaphors as you can.
In History today, we are going to be looking at Henry VIII and his six wives.
Have a look at the powerpoint to learn about each wife and then choose one you are interested in to write a fact file about.
You might like to do some extra research on your chosen wife or add a portrait of her to your fact file.
