This week, we reflected on the people that Jesus chose as his disciples and discussed why we thought he had chosen a variety of people, particularly focusing on Matthew. We talked about who we would choose as disciples and the qualities they possessed. We thought about why Jesus chose Matthew and whether he even needed disciples at all! It was great to hear all of the children’s ideas on this topic and we had a wide range of thoughts on this.
The Judaism Experience
We were lucky enough to be visited by some special people who told us all about the Jewish religion and allowed us to learn more about Jewish special objects and rituals. We learnt more about their Holy book, the Torah, and we looked at pictures of different objects and celebrations.
