Hello Welbeck Class, parents and carers,
I hope that you are all well. Thank you for all of the homework that was emailed in last week and all of the responses to the reading logs.
Over the last couple of weeks in maths we have had a focus on place value. It is important for the children to understand the value of each digit in a number up to one million. This weeks homework is a quick recap on what we have learnt. All homework should be completed as independently possible but please let me know if your child is struggling with anything.
Please also complete the reading log. Stickers will be added each week to ensure that children have achieved the recommended three reads per week.

This week the children did their first times tables test. It is important that all children leave year 6 with a confident knowledge of all times tables up to 12 x 12. Every Thursday the children will complete a five minute times tables test designed to help them recall their times tables and to do this within the time set. Times Tables Rockstars is a fantastic website to help the children practise their times tables and should be accessed regularly. If your child needs a log in reminder please let me know and I will sort that for you.
