Here you will find out more about how Computing is taught at St. Luke's. Our school vision is:
'Let your light shine, live life to the full, respect and care for all, create a happy and safe environment for everyone.'
In Computing, we aim to enable our children to be digitally literate, safe and confident in using technology. We base our curriculum on the National Curriculum and Chris Quigley Essentials Curriculum. Our Computing curriculum has a strong focus on e-safety and this is taught in each year group as the children move through school. We teach Computing as a discrete subject but also incorporate Computing skills in other subjects to enhance learning in other areas and to reinforce the children's learning of Computing. We use the learning platform Purple Mash throughout school, which provides a wide-range of software tools for our teaching of Computing. We also use Kodu and Scratch to develop the children's coding. You can follow the links below to explore Purple Mash and Scratch.
