Outwood Portland Astronomy

On Monday 18th November the Y5 children went to visit Outwood Academy Portland for a special Astronomy Day.

 

We launched rockets, learned about the solar system, used telescopes to look at the Moon and Venus, made comets, looked at the uses of liquid nitrogen and found out about energy in food.

 

Thank you to all the staff at Outwood Academy Portland for a great day.
