Dear Parents/Carers,
Well done Clumber Class, we have had a great week at school. On Friday, we had a fabulous day participating in Number Day. We completed sponsored maths activities, learning about how to stay safe online and we played 'Who wants to be a maths millionaire?'.
I also want to say a big thank you for all of the donations that have made for the Number Day in aid of the NSPCC. If you would like to make a donation, here is the link to the justgiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/st-luke-s-primary2?newPage=True
Homework
This week I would like you to write a story for our school competition. Your story can be a fairy story, adventure story or any other story that you can think of. Try to incorporate all of the year 3 grammar elements that we have been learning about recently.
Here is the link to the story competition: https://www.st-lukes.notts.sch.uk/story-writing-competition-1/
Homework is due in before Friday 25th February.
Reading
Please continue to encourage your child to read at least three times a week and record it in your child's diary. Each week your child will get sticker on their bookmark if they have read three times.
Please can your child bring their reading book and reading diary to school everyday. Reading books will continue to be changed on a Friday.
Times Table Test
On a Friday, Clumber Class will be having a times table test. For this week, please can your child practice the 8 times table ready for their test on Friday 11th February. Please try and encourage your child to use Times Tables Rockstar to practice their times tables.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Miss Earle
