Hello Welbeck Class, Parents and Carers,

Happy New Year! I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas. This week we have started our new topic 'All around the world'. A learning overview for this topic can be found on the class webpage. Over the course of the term we will be learning about rainforests, volcanoes, countries, their traditions and food. 

We have also had our first DARE session. Updates for each session can be found on the DARE section of our class webpage.

Homework- This week we have started learning about rainforests. For your homework, I would like you to research an animal that lives in the rainforest and create an observational sketch from a photograph. I would just like you to use a pencil so think about the different techniques you can use to add detail.

Reading- Please also remember to continue to read at least three times a week and record this in your diary. Reading diaries and books should be brought into school daily and are checked every Monday for evidence of three reads. 

Please note that there will be an additional P.E. session on Tuesday. Children will need to wear their P.E. kits on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
