P.E in Rufford Class - 08/10/2019

In P.E last week we did Jack in a Box dancing with Miss Halpin. We had to dance to the beat of the music whilst listening for different beats and knowing when to perform the moves that we needed to do. We really enjoyed practicing two footed jumps and seeing how high we could jump. We are really looking forward to the next P.E session!

P.E in Rufford Class - 29/11/2019

This week we REALLY enjoyed our extra P.E session that we got to take part in as a class. It was called a Drumba lesson. Two Drumba leaders came into our school and we were able to use their drums whilst learning zumba moves and keeping fit too. We really enjoyed the session and so did Miss Marsh.

P.E in Rufford Class - 06/01/2020

This half term we are really looking forward to our upcoming P.E lessons. Miss Marsh has told us what we are going to be doing over the next six weeks.

We are going to be taking part in team games and practising our ball skills including throwing, catching, kicking and dribbling.

P.E in Rufford Class - 07/01/2020

This week in P.E we worked on dribbling with a ball in and out of spaces making sure that we controlled the ball and didn't let it go into the wrong place. Then we played the invasion game. In our next lesson we will continue to practise dribbling with a ball.

P.E in Rufford Class - 14/01/2020

This week in P.E we played Astronauts and Aliens to warm up our bodies, we really enjoyed this warm up activity. Then we moved on to working on dribbling again, we are getting really good at this! We then played a game of football to put our newly perfected skills into practise.

P.E in Rufford Class - 21/01/2020

This week in P.E we played 'Snow and Ice' to warm up our bodies. We then moved on to practising throwing and catching in partners. We worked on over arm and under arm throwing. We need to keep practising catching smaller balls. We then did some throwing and catching relays.

P.E in Rufford Class - 28/01/2020

This week in P.E we have been doing target practise. We were split into two groups, one group had to dribble a ball through some cones and then shoot between two cones, the gap between the cones got smaller each time. Then the other group had to pat the ball from one cone to another and then shoot into a hoop. After a little while we swapped groups and completed the other activity. We really enjoyed the session this week.

P.E in Rufford Class - 04/02/2020

This week in P.E we have put all of our new skills into practise. We played netball and football but when playing football instead of scoring through a net we had to shoot through a hula-hoop. We had to show Miss Halpin all of the new skills we had been practising including passing, shooting, patting and dribbling. We have enjoyed this section of learning during P.E.

P.E in Rufford Class

This half term in P.E we will be moving onto circuit training, so during our P.E lessons we will be doing a variety of different activities in small groups and rotating around each activity. We are really looking forward to taking part in all the different activities.

P.E in Rufford Class - 25/02/2020

This week in P.E with Miss Halpin we have been practising different types of jumping, we did stepping stone jumping and hopscotch. We had to make sure that we were balancing correctly in order to make sure that we didn't fall over.

P.E in Rufford Class - 03/03/2020

This week in P.E with Miss Halpin we worked on target practise. We had three hoops, blue, yellow and red, each hoop was a little bit further away from us. Once we had got it into the blue hoop, we could move onto the yellow hoop then once it was in there we could move onto the red hoop and we kept going around in a circuit. We then moved onto quick fire, we had 5 bean bags each and we had to get as many into the hoop as we could, each bean bag was worth 5 points, we got really competitive during this game which was fun. For our cool down we worked on balancing whilst moving so we had to balance a bean bag on different parts of our body. We can't wait for our next P.E lesson.

Sports Relief - 9th-13th March 2020

This week we have taken part in mindfulness activities everyday in order to raise money for Sports Relief through sponsorship. We had to do 30 minutes each day. On Monday we did Alice in Wonderland yoga, on Tuesday we coloured in inspirational quotes. Then on Wednesday we did Crazy Catch with Tony and then on Thursday we did Pokémon yoga. Finally, on Friday we coloured in Sports Relief pictures. We really enjoyed all of our activities and can't wait to see how much money we raised for Sports Relief.
