Homework set: Friday 16th September 2022

Homework due: Wednesday 21st September 2022 by 4pm

Dear Parents/Carers,

We have had a fantastic start to the year. I am extremely impressed with how well the children have settled into Year 3 and their attitudes to learning. The children have worked incredibly hard this week and produced a lot of excellent work. They are really enjoying their new topic, the Stone Age, and our class book, Stone Age Boy.

Homework

For your homework, I would like you to complete the Maths worksheet that has been sent home with the children. This week we have been learning about hundred, tens and ones. Please either email your child's homework or send it into school with them.

Homework is due in on Wednesday 21st September by 4pm.

Reading

Please continue to encourage your child to read at least three times a week and record it in your child's diary. Each week your child will get sticker on their bookmark if they have read three times. 

Please can your child bring their reading book and reading diary to school everyday. Reading books will continue to be changed on a Friday.

Spellings

The children will come home with a password for their spelling account on Spelling Shed. They will be allocated spellings weekly and this website provides fun games to help them learn the words. Spellings will be tested the following Friday.

This weeks spellings are: mouth, around, sprout, sound, spout, ouch, hound, trout, found and proud.

Times Table Test

On a Friday, Clumber Class will be having a times table test. For this week, please can your child practice the 2,  5 and 10 times table ready for their test on Friday 23rd September . Please try and encourage your child to use Times Tables Rockstar to practice their times tables.
