Homework

Over the last couple of weeks we have been learning about the features in poetry. We have continued to develop our knowledge of figurative language including adjectives, similes, metaphors, hyperboles, personification and alliteration. This week I would like you to write a poem about a topic of your choice. You can make the poem rhyme if you would like an additional challenge. a

Reading Diaries

Reading books and diaries should be handed in at the start of each day. Children should be reading at least three days a week and an adult should be recording this in their diary. We are seeing a number of children forget their diaries on a daily basis. Please continue to remind your child about the importance of bringing it to school daily. 

Spellings

This weeks spellings are: apparent, committee, curiosity, guarantee, lightning, parliament, recommend, soldier, vegetable, especially.
