Giving Instructions

In Literacy we have been reading books by Mo Willems with the recent book called 'Don't let the pigeon drive the bus'. In the story the children are given instructions to follow. As a class we discussed the importance of instructions and the children could give examples of when they have followed instructions. We discussed the importance of bossy words in our instructions, the use of time connectives and the importance of having clear instructions to follow. The children then worked with a partner to give instructions.
