Maths
For our maths task today, I have set a few activities on Purple Mash. The activities are focused on the 3, 4 and 8 times tables.
It is really important that your child is practicing their times tables at home on Times Tables Rockstar, as our Maths topic for this half term is multiplication and division. Their understanding of the times tables will help them to complete the different tasks.

English
For English, your task is to complete your Big Write.
For your Big Write, you will be writing an Introduction to Pandora's Box. What is an introduction? An introduction explains the beginning of the story and introduces the main character. It is really important as it captures the readers attention and makes them want to read more.
You need to think of an exciting sentence to start your introduction. Then you will need to describe who the main characters are and where the story is set.
You will need to use:
expanded noun phrases, adverbs, conjunctions (FANBOYS), capital letters, full stops, exciting sentence starters and speech.
I can't wait to read your introduction.

RE
In RE we are learning about the Islam faith.
For our RE task today, we will be learning about the 5 Pillars of Islam.
Please read the PowerPoint which explains the 5 Pillars of Islam and answer the questions on the worksheet.
EGPS
For EGPS today, we are going to look at expanded noun phrases. We have already learnt all about expanded noun phrases at school, so this is a recap lesson. It is really important that we remember to include these in our writing.

Golden Time - Optional
On a Friday afternoon, Clumber Class have golden time. They get an hour to relax and complete fun, mindfulness activities. I have put together a few activities to complete if they would like to. The activities are mindfulness colouring sheet of a rainbow, a mindfulness colouring sheet of 2021 and a treasure hunt that they could do at home.
