Hello Welbeck parents and carers,
I hope that you are all well. It has been lovely having all children back in school and hearing about their new interests and hobbies. The children have all enjoyed being back with their friends and have settled back into the classroom extremely well. Once again, I would like to say a big thank you for all of your support during the home learning period and I can see the difference it has had on the children's learning, confidence and self-esteem with settling back into their learning so quickly.
As part of their homework I would like them to continue to practise their spellings. These can be found on the class webpage under the section spellings. I would also like the children to continue to access Bug Club to continue to develop their reading and comprehension skills. I know that some children are reading their own books and I would be interested to hear about what they are reading so please let me know over email.
This week, I would like the children to create three puppets that they will use with their puppet theatres that they started to create a couple of weeks ago. The children are able to create puppets of their choice but I would suggest that they think carefully about the Victorian era and what would fit the theme. Take a picture of record a video and send the designs through to me using the class email address.
If your child was in school during the home learning period they will not have started their puppet theatre so for their homework I would like them to create a theatre design. They could create it out of a cardboard box. I would then like them to paint or decorate it.
