## Maths

For maths today, we will be focusing on a maths concept called scaling. Scaling is used to describe a number or a number of objects that is multiplied by a fixed number.

Please watch the video which explains the concept and then complete the worksheet.  You will need a pencil, a piece of paper and the worksheet.

## English

Today, please can you write 3 Haiku's using your ideas. If you can't remember how to write a Haiku poem. Please re-watch the video below.

Remember, each line has a different amount of syllables.

Line 1: 5 syllables

Line 2: 7 syllables

Line 3: 5 syllables

An example:

Shimmering grey skin.

Out of the ocean they fly.

Dancing in the sea.

Can you guess which animal this Haiku poem is about?

## Art

For your art lesson this week, we will be looking at the country of Spain. The famous artist we will be finding more information about is Pablo Picasso. Have you ever heard of him before? He’s quite famous!

Here is a power point so you can get to know him a little better:

One of Pablo’s techniques is called Cubism, and this is where different shapes are used to form an interesting yet odd picture.

I would like you to have a go at your artwork using this method, if you have chalks, they might be good for this but don’t worry if you haven’t just be as creative as you can! I have added an example of Pablo’s work below.

## EGPS

It is a very interactive lesson. You will need a piece of paper and a pencil. Please follow the video and have a go at all the different activities.
