Yesterday, Thoresby Class visited Magna Science Centre! We had a great time! We explored the Earth zone first, collecting rocks in wheelbarrows and learning about quarrying. We then had a workshop on Volcanoes and rocks and made our own volcanoes from bicarbonate of soda and vinegar and then built up where our 'lava' had been using playdough. We then took samples of this playdough rock like scientists would on real volcanoes! After lunch we explored the Air and Water zones. We had lots of fun!
