Well what a fantastic day we have had today on board The Hugh Henshall narrow boat. We travelled along the Chesterfield canal from Shireoaks, through four locks, before turning around and returning to the marina. The children were even lucky enough to have a go at steering the boat, what an amazing experience!
We had fantastic guides and skippers who told us all about the history of the canal, what it was used for and who built it. A huge thank you to Sarah and the crew for their excellent hospitality. Both myself and Mrs Dunn enjoyed the trip as much as all of the children.
