Marvellous Measuring
In recent lessons the children have learnt to use non-standard units of measurements to measure objects in the classroom. The children used unifix cubes and pencils to do this. Today the children were taught how to correctly use standard units of measures and were taught the difference between a centimetre ruler and a metre ruler. Independently, the children then used the cm ruler to measure objects in the classroom. Some children worked with a partner to combine their rulers to measure larger objects.
