Hello Welbeck Class, Parents and Carers,

We have had lots of positive responses to the homework and reading logs over the last couple of weeks and it has been lovely to see the children taking ownership of their learning both at home and in school. Thank you for your continued support.

This week we have had a video call with Claire from the Canal River Trust. It was interesting to learn about the dangers of swimming in a canal as well as the items that have been found when clearing the canals of rubbish. The children had lots of questions that they wanted to ask but could also answer all of Claire's questions. The children understand the importance of keeping safe close to the canal and I was really proud of how maturely the answered the questions. 

We have also continued our Drumba and swimming lessons. It is fantastic to see the children so enthusiastic and engaged and I have noticed the improvement in all children since the first session.

Homework- This weeks homework is a reading comprehension. Please encourage your child to answer in full sentences.
