Today we are continuing our learning of place value and are focusing on comparing four digit numbers. Think about how we know one number is bigger than another. How do we show this using relevant symbols?
Have a look at the video below and try the worksheet. I have also provided the answers for you to check through your work once you have finished.
In GPS we are focusing on spelling mistakes today. Can you use what you have learnt about spelling rules over the last few weeks to help you correct these words? There is one letter wrong on each word. If you are not sure, you can use a dictionary to help you.

In Geography over the next few weeks we will be studying the human and physical features of Australia. Can you identify the difference between human and physical features? Have a go at defining both features.
Have a look at Canberra using Google Earth. What features do you think you might find there? Buildings? Parks? Mountains?
Once you have done your research, create a table (either on the computer or on paper) which has 2 columns - one for physical features and one for human features. Then, fill the table in with examples of each feature. For example, the Sydney Opera House would be a human feature, so you would put it in that column.
If you need any more help with this or any of the tasks, please email me on the class email.
In Science, we are investigating the difference between weather and climate and learning about climate zones around the world. Can you use the attached sheet to match the climate with the relevant description? Once you have done that, have a look at the climates presentation. Think about the climate in the UK and Australia - are they the same or different? Can you name the climate zone for both countries?
In Art, we are investigating indigenous art patterns and symbols. Use the attached slides to read about different patters and their meanings to aboriginal people. Then, if you have the relevant resources available, have a go at one of the worksheets. Email me a photo of what you do
