Maths- Year 1

Literacy- Year 1 and 2

We have been looking at the story of Bob on the Moon and the children have really enjoyed it. Talk to a grown up about what the book is about and watch the story again for a recap.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rt5zQ1UO6rE . The first task I would like you to complete is to put the pictures into the correct order. Then, I would like you to write a caption for each. A caption is where you are just writing one sentence briefly describing what is happening in the picture.

 

Phonics- Year 1 and 2

Year 1 and 2 to complete phonics activity. Today we are going to be recapping the 'aw' sound. Talk with a grown up about some words that have this sound in. Have a look at the powerpoint. Sound the words out to your grown up. Then complete the activity where you place the sound buttons on the words.

 

Year 2 

I would like you to read our common exception words to your grown ups like we do in class. I would then like you to choose 5 and practise putting these into sentences. 

 

EGPS- Year 1 and 2

Today we are going to be looking at exclamation marks. Show your grown up what an exclamation mark looks like. Have a look at the powerpoint. I would then like Year 2 to write 5 sentences with an exclamation mark. Year 1, I would like you to write 2. If you want to challenge yourself, you can write 3! Remember, the exclamation mark replaces the full stops.

 

Topic:

History-

On Purple Mash, there is a mash cam 2do.Last week in computing, we completed a mash cam of an astronaut. Now I would like you to complete the one based on bonfire night. What did you do on bonfire night? Write it in the speech bubble.

 

Geography:

I would like you to log on to purple mash and there is a 2 do on there. Last week we identified the months of the year and the seasons. The 2do's are based on our learning about the seasons.
