The Y5 children had a taster day at Outwood Academy, Portland. The theme of the day was Astonomy. However, as it snowed we didn't get to see any stars outside.
We did have a great day. We made biscuits, found out about calories in food by burning them with a bunson burner. Using liquid Nitrogen one of the Science teachers showed us what things would be like if they were frozen in outer space, then we made a comet! We went into a space dome for a talk about the stars.
What a great day out! Thank you Outwood!
