British Heritage
Today we have been learning about British Heritage and what makes Great Britain great. We have learnt about our royal family and focused on the Queen. We learnt lots of different facts about the Queen and learnt that she was born in 1929. We discussed what happens when someone is coroneted. To demonstrate, we re-enacted the coronation with a member of our class. It was lots of fun.
We also learnt how to greet the Queen. We learnt that girls curtsey while boys bow. We practised this with our friends in the class. The children were interested to learn that they would not be able to touch the Queen or talk to her unless she speaks to them first.
