This week's Big Write task is to write a recount about what you got up to over half term. Remember, a recount needs to be written in the past tense and in chronological order. Try to include spellings we have covered since Christmas and also lots of interesting grammar that we have been learning about. Use the checklist to self-assess your writing once you have finished.
Please take some time to do an activity that you enjoy - preferably one that is away from a screen! Maybe take a walk, do some colouring, do some yoga or other relaxation activity or some crafting. It is completely up to you, but make sure you enjoy it!
Today we are going to try and understand different types of rock and classify them into natural and man-made groups. Have a look at the presentation and see if you can identify each different type of rock. Don't worry if it gets a little complicated, as long as you have a go at the task and can understand the difference between natural and man-made rocks, that is perfect. But, for those keen scientists amongst you, there is more in depth detail on the slides.
