Hello Welbeck Class, Parents and Carers,

The children have been working incredibly hard over the last couple of weeks and I have noticed a huge improvement in their confidence and maturity. 

Homework

Next week, the children will be sitting their SATs assessments. I know that the children will try their best and tackle each assessment just like they have done with the work in class. There isn't any homework this week. Instead, I would like the children to enjoy their long weekend, do something that they enjoy and get a good nights sleep. 

Reading

Reading diaries and books should be brought into school on a daily basis. Please continue to encourage your children to read at least three times a week at home. 

SATs

Some parents have asked about the dates for the SATs tests. These tests are due to take place between Tuesday 9th May-Friday 12th May.  The schedule for the tests are as follows:

Tuesday 9th- Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling

Wednesday 10th- English Reading

Thursday 11th- Maths Arithmetic and Maths Reasoning Paper 1

Friday 12th- Maths Reasoning Paper 2

Please encourage your child to have a good breakfast each morning and bring their water bottle into school.
