Our school pond
Today we have been learning all about the creepy crawlies that live in our school pond. We started our session by learning all about pond safety and how to kneel down by our pond. We took it in turns to dip our nets into the pond and then look at the creatures more closely using magnifying glasses. It was fascinating! We identified a whirligig beetle, pond skater, flat worm and a water louse! We can't wait to visit the pond again later in the term to see if there are any different pond creatures.
