Homework set: Friday 4th November 2022

 

Homework due: Wednesday 9th November

 

Dear Parents/Carers,

The children have worked so hard during their first week back from half term. They are enjoying our class book ‘Oliver and the Seawigs’.

 

Homework

For your homework, I would like you to complete the English and Maths activity that your children will come home with. Please either email your child's homework or send it into school with them.

 

Homework is due in on Wednesday 9th November.

 

Reading

Please continue to encourage your child to read at least three times a week and record it in your child's diary. Each week your child will get sticker on their bookmark if they have read three times. 

 

Please can your child bring their reading book and reading diary to school everyday. Reading books will continue to be changed on a Friday.

 

Spellings

I have been really impressed with the children's spellings this week. Its brilliant that they are going on Spelling Shed and practicing so please continue with this. They will be allocated spellings weekly and this website provides fun games to help them learn the words. Spellings will be tested the following Friday.

 

times table rockstars:

at parents evening you were given your child’s login, please could children go on TTRS at least once a week for practise of their times tables.

 

This weeks spellings are:

calendar, appear,believe, grammar, increase, interest, opposite, straight, strength and women.
