Homework 14th January 2022

Hello Welbeck Class, Parents and Carers,

We had a lovely start to our school week taking part in the 'Around the World Day'. The children were very enthusiastic about our Mexico topic and enjoyed learning about the Aztecs and the geographical features of Mexico. We also took part in some Spanish speaking activities.

Homework- Over the last couple of weeks we have been learning about decimals in Maths. We have learnt about the place value of digits before and after the decimal points and have written number sentences displaying the value of each digit. For your homework, I would like you to complete the activity recapping on information that we have learnt recently.

Reading- Please continue to encourage your child to read at home. Reading books and diaries should be in school every day and are checked for 3 written comments every Monday. Reading is crucial for the children's learning and plays an important aspect in their spelling and writing. If you have any questions about your child's reading or any concerns please let me know.

As always, please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Tomlinson
