Hello Welbeck Class, Parents and Carers,

Happy New Year! I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and start to the New Year. 

This half term our topic is Local Environment where we will be learning more about Nottinghamshire, Robin Hood and comparing the locality to other areas around the world. A learning overview has been uploaded to the website for you to see what your child will be learning each week. If you have any questions about this please let me know.

Homework- Since September we have been working incredibly hard on our Maths reasoning skills and although there has been good improvement from the children, we still have lots to cover before our SATs tests in May. For homework, the children have been given some reasoning questions to answer.

Spellings

This weeks spellings are: rhyme, occupy, apply, hyphen, hygiene, python, supply, identify, multiply, recycle. 

The spelling test will take place on Friday.

Reading

Please ensure that your child is bringing in their reading book and diary into school on a daily basis. 

Swimming

Swimming is due to continue until February half term. Please ensure that your child brings the correct kit every Wednesday.
