Outdoor Adventures

In preparation for our new topic next term we began our planting project.

Nigel, our caretaker, was very kind and gave us a huge selection of vegetable seeds to choose from. We looked carefully at the types of vegetables and made our choices based on what would suit our growing environment.

We also sent for some potato tubers from the 'Potato Council' and after a 'chitting' process we also planted these in some potato growing sacks. There were two different varieties of potato called regional and rocket. We will see which tubers provide the best harvest in a few months time.
