Homework Due- Wednesday 17th January 2024

Hello Welbeck Class, Parents and Carers,

On Monday we started our DAaRT programme. This weeks focus was drugs, alcohol and the impact on the body.

I have been really impressed with the children's attitude towards their learning since coming back from Christmas and have noticed a mature approach to attempting tricky tasks, including algebra. Well done children- I am very proud of you!

Homework

Please complete the comprehension questions from The Boy at the Back of the Class.

Reading Diaries

Reading books and diaries should be handed in at the start of each day. Children should be reading at least three days a week and an adult should be recording this in their diary. We are seeing a number of children forget their diaries on a daily basis. Please continue to remind your child about the importance of bringing it to school daily.

Spellings

rhyme, occupy, apply, hyphen, hygiene, python, supply, identify, multiply, recycle.

Times Tables

Please continue to encourage your child to practise their times tables at home. At this point, all Y6 children should confidently recall all times tables facts up to 12x 12.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Miss Tomlinson
