Hello Welbeck Class, Parents and Carers, 

Homework has been printed and handed to the children. This week they have been given a grammar activity to complete and some algebra questions. 

Reading

Reading diaries and books should be brought into school on a daily basis. Please continue to encourage your children to read at least three times a week at home. 

Spellings

This weeks spellings are: explanatory, environment, secretary, jewellery, poisonous, company, desperate, definitely, reference, temperature. 

SATs

Some parents have asked about the dates for the SATs tests. These tests are due to take place between Tuesday 9th May-Friday 12th May. Further information will be shared closer to the time. 

Booster Club

Booster club will continue after half term. The next booster club will be Wednesday 22nd March from 3:15-4:15.

Revision

Please ensure that your child knows the answer to all of the following:

- All 2D shape names

- All 3D shape names

- Difference between the four triangles

- Angles- acute, obtuse, reflex

- Direction and Movement- understanding that each 1/4 turn is 90degrees. 

- Square numbers up to 12

I have been testing the children on the above over the last couple of weeks and will continue to do so next week. 

Acorn Theatre

Next week, Mrs Hawes and Zoe will be in school working with the children on the production. Please ensure that your child has their scripts in school and that they are practising their lines often.
